As a photographer, it was an absolute joy to capture the magic of Elizabeth and Joey’s wedding weekend. The celebration began at the iconic Amway Grand Plaza Hotel in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where the Welcome Party set the perfect tone for the festivities. Guests from Joey’s hometown of Chicago and Elizabeth’s South Carolina roots, along with her new friends from Grand Rapids all gathered under one roof, excited to kick off the weekend of love and celebration. The energy in the room was electric as families reunited and new connections were made, each person eager to share in the couple’s happiness. It was clear from the very beginning that this weekend would be one to remember for years to come.

The wedding ceremony at St. Robert’s Catholic Church was breathtaking, a true testament to Elizabeth and Joey’s love and commitment. The familiar warmth of the church provided a beautiful backdrop as the couple exchanged their vows, surrounded by their closest friends and family. From there, the celebration continued at the JW Marriott, where guests were treated to a night of laughter, dancing, and unforgettable moments. The surprise guest appearance of Sparty, the Michigan State University mascot, added a fun and personal touch, as it was at MSU where Elizabeth and Joey first met. Capturing these heartwarming moments was a true honor, and the love between the couple and their guests was evident throughout the entire weekend.
